Role Play
Dear Parents/Guardians:
The grade three students will be playing the roles of different settlers who came to Upper Canada and Lower Canada. They will interview their classmates while in character.
Some questions they will need to be able to answer are:
- Who they are?
- Where they came from?
- Who came with them?
- Why they came to Canada?
- What they brought with them?
- What was the trip like?
- What did they think when they saw the land here for the first time?
During the interview, students are encouraged to:
- Make eye contact.
- Introduce themselves.
- Speak clearly.
- Be polite.
- Thank the person for their time.
Role play date: Thursday April 25th.
